The “First Friday” of each month the TDC offers all students the opportunity to take their practice TExES Exams in a group setting. We also offer a “Mid-Month” practice testing on Saturdays. Any student seeking any certification can register to take their practice test by contacting the TDC.

This exam did cost $140 to take, which is $20 more than the usual exam fee. I also had to take it at a Pearson testing location, which I wasn’t very happy about. Everything that Pearson has posted for free on the actual testing website, is true and straight forward. When you know the test is coming, make sure you are ready! Plan your route to the center and set your alarm so you can leave 30 minutes early. You never know when there’s extra traffic.

The customs broker examination is given every April and October. Our course runs twice yearly, beginning two months before each exam date. The Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities review is provided live quarterly. All students seeking certification through UTSA are required to have approval to test each time they register for a state exam.

You can stop the test anytime you’re too uncomfortable. Your care provider might stop the test if there are concerns about the way your heart is acting during the test. TExES (Texas Examination of Educator Standards) content exams qualify teachers for certification in more than 60 specialties and are designed to measure teaching readiness and skills. A TExES test is divided by grade levels or special certification areas such as computer science, health, English language arts, core subjects, mathematics and physical science. If you hope to work as a teacher or educator in a Texas public school, you’ll likely need to take and pass a TExES test. While requirements vary from district to district, most teachers will take at least one TExES exam in pursuit of their teaching license. To register, you’ll need to complete a four-year degree in an education-related teaching program.
