It’s simple, factual and has prepared me for some areas I have not thought about in awhile. The testing tips on reading the questions and when not sure, to review each answer was helpful. I also found the prefixes, suffixes can and will help when stuck on a question. Basically the book helps you slow your brain down and help you think through every question logically. Your CNOR score is determined by taking the number of questions you answered correctly and converting that to a scaled score between 200 and 800.
I am often asked why CCI continues such a close relationship with NASC even though we no longer have ownership of the credential. Simply put, we see this relationship as the right thing to do for the CRNFA community and one thing that we can do for the overall good of the larger perioperative nursing community. CCI has a long history of supporting a diversity of career roles in the perioperative setting and this partnership continues that tradition. As an organization CCI can do more in partnership with NASC than it could do alone in serving the many career paths found in the current surgical services setting.
And while it doesn’t take as much education to work as a perioperative nurse, there’s still a considerable need for qualified candidates to demonstrate their knowledge of the necessary procedures and terminology. Recertification with CRNFA is a renewal option that allows RNs who are dually certified through the National Assistant at Surgery Certification (NASC) as a Certified Registered Nurse First Assist (CRNFA). Is the CNOR exam hard?
How difficult is the CNOR exam? The CNOR exam is considered to be a difficult exam. CCI recommends spending at least 3 months studying prior to the exam.

Nurses who earn the CNOR credential demonstrate their commitment to quality patient care, and their expertise in perioperative nursing. The CNOR credential is valid for five years, and must be renewed every five years by passing the recertification exam. Health care certification programs are experiencing a period of great change because of increased public expectations and recent accreditation requirement changes. Nursing certification programs, including the CNOR credential administered by the Competency & Credentialing Institute (CCI), are not immune to these changes. The CNOR credential is the most common perioperative nursing certification and has more than 40,000 certificants worldwide. In response to updated accreditation standards, CCI recently announced CNOR credential recertification process changes.

In Alabama, for example, we all renew every two years, in the even years – so don’t worry Alabama friends! But, CNOR recertification requirements are the same across the country, and they can sneak up on you if you’re not careful. So today I’m going to go over the renewal requirements and give you some great links for free CE resources if you, like me, are still trying to get all of your CE credits before the end of the year. Note that a passing raw score can vary depending on the particular version of the test.

So frustrating, especially when I just wanted to do a few quick questions when I had free time. Considering all the problems, I feel paying 50 dollars for this app is a bit much; however, when it did work, I loved it.
