I have already paid to take the CRAT (Certified Rhythms Analysis Technician) Exam and have about 90 days to prepare. The problem is I don’t know what I’m missing and I don’t have a lot of money or time to waste on a second class. Has anyone taken something similar to the CRAT or is someone an EKG Tech that would be able to point me to some really helpful inclusive materials? I’m good with the information I already have (very basic things and rhythms) but I need to check and make sure all the information I have is correct and learn anything that I am missing. I have a health background and the basics of EKG and Rhythm analysis at this point, so something moderately advanced would not be too tough for me to use as well.

The Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) examination is intended for these allied health professionals and is offered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). The examination content is based on the findings of a Job Task Analysis (JTA), which describes the overall tasks that a CRAT is expected to perform on the job and general areas of knowledge that are needed to perform the tasks. What is the CRAT certification for nurses?
CRAT. The main function of this certification exam is to determine whether a nurse can recognize and identify all the different irregularities in cardiac rhythms. This includes testing on normal ECG components, atrial rhythm, junctional rhythm, asystole, and more.
The remaining 6 or fewer CEUs can be on any topic as long as it is from one of the approved providers. For example, if the credential is earned between April 1st and June 30th, your first renewal would be due on or before March 31st of the following year. New credential holders are required to pay their first renewal before the first day of the same quarter that the credential was earned but in the following year. It is important to note that the results of the self-assessment exam do not guarantee or indicate individual success on the exam, nor should the self-assessment serve as the only means for preparing for the examination. A $50.00 USD fee is required at the time of Pre-Application and this fee is non-refundable.
After completing the first renewal, credentials are renewed every three years. If you would like a score verification, there is a processing fee of $50 USD. Question types consist of 130 questions (110 scored and 20 unscored), that contain a mix of traditional and innovative item types.
