How do I get my CDA certificate in Texas?
How to get the CDA? To earn the CDA certification, you must complete 120 hours of professional education in early childhood development. You must also have 480 hours worth of experience working with kids in the field indicated in your application. You will also be required to submit your professional portfolio.

However, you will need to prepare a different Professional Portfolio and have a separate CDA Verification Visit for each age group to be certified in both pathways. NAC Renewal $139 We have many options to help you renew your NICCM NAC or convert your current non-NICCM credential. Meeting the requirements for renewing your NICCM NAC is a simple process and carries no additional fee. CCEI’s Texas Director’s Certificate and Texas Director’s Certificate Renewal programs have been approved by the Texas Department of Health and Human Services to meet the requirements of a Child Day Care Director Credential.
The cost of our C.D.A. program is usually $795.00 but we currently have grant money to help students cover most if not all of this cost. Dallas College also provides other types of student support, including computer and hotspot device loan, transportation passes and other services. CCEI is an approved training partner by the Council for Professional Recognition (the Council) and coursework can be used to fulfill the training requirements needed to obtain the National CDA Credential in English and Spanish. To schedule the exam online, Candidates must first create a Pearson VUE web account. When creating your account, you will need the Candidate ID number from your Ready to Schedule Notice that you received from the Council.
