It’s better to double up on your study efforts with some tutoring and a study guide and then feel confident and pass the BTLPT with a score well above 240 on your next try. In my experience, most casual Spanish-speaking candidates can pass the test after 3-4 months of concentrated study (4-6 hours per week), and most highly fluent speakers can pass with 3-4 weeks of study time (3-4 hours per week). Ultimate Study Plan Cohort members are invited to weekly classes to practice live and get feedback on responses to simulated test questions. If your final question is below this mark, you will not pass the exam, even if you have answered some questions above the 240 mark at some point during the exam. This is because the computer has rated the difficulty of your final question based on how you answered the previous questions.
After completing all the course activities, you will have the opportunity to meet with the instructor and receive specific recommendations in the areas you need to improve to be successful on the exam. In these two meetings, you will receive additional practice activities, and I will be able to answer any questions you might have about the BTLPT. Students receive individualized feedback on their written and oral practice activities and assessments in all courses.
