LITE administers timed, proctored practice TACHS exams so that students can both apply what they have learned in session and adjust their timing, so they can complete the test in the time allotted. The official TACHS exam will be given as an online, at-home remote test in fall 2023. Historically, the CHSEE was the exam administered by the Diocese of Rockville Center to students seeking admission to a Catholic high school on Long Island. Since 2020, however, the CHSEE team has partnered with the Diocese of Brooklyn and the Archdiocese of New York to use the same online TACHS exam for all students. By practicing free online TACHS practice tests, you get a fair idea about the real test pattern and reduce pre-exam anxiety. TACHS mock tests are important because of the time-bound practice they provide.
The results from that examination, along with school records and other information, are then sent to the high school principals to assist them in making admission decisions. The classes are taught over six Saturdays at our Rockville Centre campus located at 1000 Hempstead Avenue, Rockville Centre or at our Suffolk Campus in Amityville. Students enrolled in our test prep program will receive intensive training to successfully complete all parts of the exam. Not only will students review tactics and content in reading, written expression, mathematics, and general reasoning, but students will receive instructions and practice in time management strategies. This is critical as many of the tests that students take in traditional schools are no longer timed, and students are often lacking in this area because of this. Students will take a minimum of two, timed full-length practice tests as well as weekly math quizzes.
