“Purchased the five pack of tests this weekend. Took CBEST math today and passed! Your tests had very similar content as the actual CBEST.” “Thank you so much for you reading tests. I just passed the real CBEST Reading test by 4 points! After failing it 3 other times, I thought I would have to quit.
I already told everyone in my class about your site.” It is important to note that when it comes to scoring the exam, the score is determined by both the multiple-choice section and the constructed responses section. Cancel your test appointment at least 24 hours before your scheduled testing time.
Candidates should have a strong background in mathematics, including coursework and/or practical experience. They should also be familiar with the California curriculum standards in mathematics. Because our tests are web-based, there’s no software to install.
Your study plan should account for both your knowledge of the subject or subjects you’re taking, as well as an overall knowledge in education and technology that teachers have to be prepared for in the classroom settings. Hopefully, you’ll pass no problem and California will gain another qualified teacher. The CSET Multiple Subjects Exam is taken by candidates for the multiple subject and education specialist credential, usually elementary school teaching candidates.

CSET stands for California Subject Examinations for Teachers. Make sure to use practice tests for the subject you intend to take, and brush up on your general knowledge. There are free test guides and practice tests available for all CSET tests.

The life science questions focus on living organisms and life on Earth. So that means knowing things are made up of cells, and knowing how cells work. All living things must have food, water, and shelter to survive.
What is on the CSET subtest 3?
Subtest 3 covers Dance; Music; Theater; Visual Art; Movement Skills and Movement Knowledge; Self-Image and Personal Development; Social Development; Cognitive Development from Birth Through Adolescence; Social and Physical Development from Birth Through Adolescence; and Influences on Development from Birth Through …
The examinations are criterion-referenced, meaning they are designed to measure knowledge and skills in relation to an established standard. Studying for the CSET Multiple Subjects is more than memorizing facts. While knowing the information is critical, being able to explain and educate in concepts such as phonemic awareness or the food chain is even more important, especially when it comes to the constructed response questions. Because of my abbreviated preparation schedule, I only spent one evening preparing for subtest II.

If you’re taking the CSET Multiple Subjects, you probably want to know if you’ll pass. Check out our guides on becoming a teacher and the early childhood education major. The CSET Multiple Subject Test consists of three subtests.
The CBEST is one of the worst tests to try to self-score for practice tests. The questions on the CBEST are weighted differently so that a certain percent on a practice test does not easily equate to a CBEST score. If you fall below the 37 points needed, or if you fall below 123 overall, you can retake a section to boost your score. Over 90% of each subtest consists of multiple-choice questions for which there will only be one correct answer.
Each practice exam includes 30 multiple choice questions, and you can take each exam up to 4 times. This allows you to practice and review the material as many times as you need to feel confident and well-prepared for your test. They usually have around 40 multiple choice questions and 3-4 constructed response questions.
Like the CBEST, you have an hour and a half for these two essays, so you will be writing to the best of your ability in a limited time, which is understood by the graders of your exam. The CSET is a group of tests administered by the state of California to provide teacher credentialing. The CSET offers many single subject test options, which makes it a key credentialing system for teachers at all levels.
It seems like this test should come after your teacher training (oh wait, it does, it’s called the RICA). Some of what you need to know is common sense, but some of it is very education specific. As someone who has a bachelor’s degree in business and a master’s in adult education, I had never taken any courses in reading instruction. I was lucky, though, because I have spent a lot of time in classrooms helping with reading instruction, so it wasn’t entirely foreign. And since physical science deals with physics, you need to know the fundamentals of objects in motion – like the different ways to describe an object’s motion (position, displacement, speed, velocity, acceleration). You must know about simple machines (levers and pulleys) and different energy forms (solar, wind, chemical, electrical, nuclear, etc.). You should know the different ways heat is transferred (conduction, convection, and radiation) and the difference between heat and temperature. The science single subject CSET, for example, has 100 multiple choice questions. The Single Subject tests also usually have multiple choice questions and constructed response questions. The second book I bought, after several months of slogging through the Cliffs Notes book preparing for subtest I, was Barron’s CSET California Subject Matter Examinations for Teachers Multiple Subjects. This book was much better in some ways, not as good in others. This book has a pre-assessment section for each area of each subtest, followed by a content review section, and then a targeted assessment. In addition, this book also has two full practice tests.

Fortunately, I have some background knowledge in all those areas. I felt my weakest areas of that subtest were PE and human development. I watched a bunch of human development videos on YouTube the weekend before the test. I think I only took one practice test from each book for subtest III, since I was planning on having a couple more weeks to prepare.
