While there are many types of Master’s Degree one can obtain (speech therapy, business, engineering etc.), this is would be a degree specific to Audiology. Speech Pathologist Certification (CCC-SLP) Exam & Requirements

This is a certification awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), which is one of the national organizations for audiologists. This designation means the audiologist is in good standing with ASHA and successfully completed their clinical fellowship year or externship year under an audiologist who already has the CCC-A designation. Audiologists with this designation have completed two years of graduate course work in audiology followed by a one-year supervised clinic fellowship in the field of audiology that was supervised by a licensed audiologist.
The ASHA Clinical Competence in Audiology is a program designed to recognize audiologists who demonstrate exceptional clinical skills and knowledge. This program is designed to provide audiologists with the opportunity to demonstrate their clinical expertise through a series of assessments and evaluations. The program consists of a written examination, a clinical practicum, and a case study. The written examination is designed to assess the knowledge and skills of the audiologist in areas such as anatomy and physiology, hearing aid selection and fitting, and diagnostic audiology.
The CCC-A exam is offered through Educational Testing Services (ETS). The exam is validated every 5-8 years through an audiology practice analysis and updated to current professional practice standards.
